April 2024 Roundup

April Product Update: Better customisation & smarter filters

Your holding area for content review & control

One of the biggest updates this month is the new ‘holding area’. This feature ensures that any content being pushed to MailChimp, LinkedIn, and X, can be reviewed before publishing, giving you full control over what gets held and what gets sent automatically.

You can configure the system to hold content based on specific types or keywords. For example, suppose you want all price-sensitive announcements to be reviewed first, the holding area makes sure they don’t go out without approval. On the other hand, more administrative updates can be sent automatically. This means you’re in control of the flow of information and can prevent any unintended releases.

Notifications will alert you when content is in the holding area waiting for review. From there, you can approve, edit, or remove content before it gets published.

LinkedIn integration gets smarter

We’re making it easier than ever to manage LinkedIn posts. With our upgraded LinkedIn integration, you now have the option to create draft posts before they go live. This means you can review, tweak, and refine content before publishing.

But that’s not all—our holding area now includes LinkedIn posts. Whether it’s an important company update or a regulatory announcement, you can ensure it goes through the right approval process before hitting your audience.

This integration brings a new level of flexibility and control to social media publishing, making LinkedIn announcements smoother and more strategic.

Bug Fixes–MailChimp integration

We’ve updated our MailChimp integration to align with their latest API changes. This ensures seamless content pushing and prevents any failed submissions due to template updates. Additionally, we fixed an issue with length validation for MailChimp emails. Unlike LinkedIn and X, MailChimp doesn’t have a strict character limit, so we removed unnecessary placeholder restrictions.

Improvements

Hashtag management just got smarter. We’ve refined how hashtags work in social media integrations, making it easier to generate relevant, engaging hashtags for your content.

We’ve also improved filtering. Previously, filters were limited to individual widgets. If you wanted to apply a filter—like only showing quarterly reports—you had to recreate it for each widget. Now, you can create global presets. Once you’ve defined a preset, you can apply it across different widgets instantly, saving time and maintaining consistency across platforms.
